| PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The aim of the Practitioners Programme in Human Resource Management is to: |
- Give those who complete the qualification competence in the theory, procedures and practice of Personnel Administration and Human Resource Management
- Qualify them to work in a Personnel or HRM Department
- Enable them to proceed further with their studies and enhance their career prospects

The Practitioners Programme in HRM is therefore an essential qualification for: |
- Employees working within the HRM function but wishing to improve their skills and knowledge
- People drawn from other parts of the working environment who aspire to enter the HRM function
- Managers who wish to become more effective practitioners in human resource management and development, within their departments

The HRM Practitioners Programme consists of a Certificate and a Diploma, each comprising four subjects. Students will not be awarded the Diploma until they have passed all eight subjects.

Standard
The Practitioners Certificate in HRM is set and marked to A level standard. The Practitioners Diploma in HRM is set and marked to the standard of the first year of a UK Business studies degree and is comparable to Diploma Part 1 of the Business Administration Programme. |
